Cyriel Dessers endured a disappointing outing with Rangers as they suffered a 2-1 defeat against Motherwell at Ibrox.
Despite Dessers making his 26th league appearance, Theo Blair secured an early lead for Motherwell within nine minutes.
The Nigerian Forward thought he had leveled the score in the second half, only to have his goal ruled offside, leaving the striker visibly frustrated.
The striker who has scored 12 goals and assisted 4 was substituted in the 74th minutes.
Rangers then managed to equalize minutes later when James Tavernier netted his 21st goal of the season from the penalty spot.
Despite the hosts’ efforts to stage a comeback, Motherwell’s Kelvin Casey secured the victory with Blair Spittal’s cross.
Philippe Clement’s side, despite the setback, maintains a two-point lead at the top of the table.
With reigning champions Celtic poised to reclaim the top spot, Philippe Clement’s side faces increased pressure as they look to bounce back from this unexpected defeat.
Celtic will have an opportunity to overtake Rangers when they visit Heart of Midlothian on Sunday.
