AC Milan’s manager, Stefano Pioli has called on Samuel Chukwueze to elevate his performance on the field.

Chukwueze, who joined the San Siro from Villarreal last summer for 25 million euros, has faced challenges in making a significant impact with the former European champions.

Despite a promising move, the 24-year-old forward has yet to find the net in 15 league appearances for AC Milan.

Pioli drew comparisons between the Nigerian and USA winger Christian Pulisic, both of whom joined the club last summer.

“Pulisic and Chukwueze have the same characteristics,” Pioli stated on the club’s official website.

“Pulisic scores goals, assists, and works. Chukwueze has to score goals, he has to get assists, and has to work.”
