Cash in! Nwabali Should Seize the Moment – Finidi George

Assistant coach of the Super Eagles, Finidi George has shared his thoughts on the future of goalkeeper, Stanley Nwabali.

Nwabali recently got a big break at the recently concluded Africa Cup of Nations, manning the sticks for Nigeria and keeping 4 clean sheets in his 7 games.

The 27 year-old currently plies his trade for Chippa United in South Africa, but George believes the goalkeeper should take any offer that comes and move to another club.

George, who is also coach of the NPFL side Enyimba, stressed that footballers have limited time in their careers, and it’ll be good for Nwabali to maximize his time.

“I think he has to go somewhere else. If there is that opportunity for him, definitely he has to because you know, this career of a footballer is very short. 10 years, 12 years at most.

“If there are no injuries. So you have to make the best out of it because life after football is so long that if you don’t get the best out of it when you’re active, yeah, you see some players struggle.

“So the best you can get now is going to be better for the future. If there’s an offer somewhere else in Europe, Asia where they would pay him better. I think he has to go for it.”
