Cote d’Ivoire vs Nigeria: Peseiro Makes Changes to Starting XI

Nigeria head coach, Jose Peseiro has made two changes to the side that faced Equatorial Guinea in their opening group game of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.

Calvin Bassey and Samuel Chukwueze, who started from the bench in the last game, were named as starters as Peseiro switched to a 5-2-3 formation from the 4-3-3 in the Equatorial Guinea match.

 

Stanley Nwabili retains his place as first choice goalkeeper, while Victor Osimhen leads Nigeria’s attack line, putting to rest concerns about his fitness.

Meanwhile, Alhassan Yusuf was not named in the matchday squad as the midfielder recovers from a muscle problem.
