In an exclusive interview with BRL, Osayi-Samuel disclosed his current battle with food poisoning, casting uncertainty on his readiness for the upcoming crucial match against Ivory Coast.

Despite feeling weak, the defender expressed optimism about his recovery, stating, “I’ve got food poisoning and feel weak, but I should be okay.”

The 26-year-old managed to play seven minutes in Nigeria’s last match against Equatorial Guinea, coming on as a substitute for Ola Aina.
