Napoli striker Victor Osimhen has voiced his discontent with Mamuka Jugeli, the agent of teammate Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, following Jugeli’s provocative remarks in a recent interview with ITV.
Jugeli suggested that Osimhen might make a move to Saudi Arabia next summer, despite having recently extended his contract with Napoli.
In the interview, Jugeli stated, “Osimhen signed a new contract, but do you really think he will spend his entire career at Napoli? I can already tell you he will go to Saudi Arabia next summer.”
Jugeli emphasized that Napoli’s efforts to raise Osimhen’s salary would not alter Kvaratskhelia’s stance, asserting, “Khvicha would not accept such a transfer even for €1 billion. He’d rather play for Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Barcelona, or Manchester City.”
Osimhen, clearly displeased with the comments, took to his social media platform to respond directly to Jugeli, calling him “a piece of filth and a disgrace.”
Osimhen further expressed embarrassment at Jugeli’s “sense of reasoning,” concluding his statement with a stern warning: “KEEP MY NAME OUT OF YOUR MOUTH!”
The tension comes as a surprise, given the reportedly good relationship between Osimhen and Kvaratskhelia, both on and off the field.
The duo played pivotal roles in Napoli securing their first league title in 32 years last season.
