Victor Osimhen’s agent, Roberto Calenda condemns Mamuka Jugeli’s comments as ‘bad, superficial, and unacceptable.

Jugeli, representing Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, had suggested Osimhen’s move to a Saudi Pro League team, sparking controversy.

Responding on Wednesday, Calenda stated, “It is not correct to talk about the future of other players,” emphasizing the need for respect.

He deemed Jugeli’s words detrimental, causing problems for Osimhen with Napoli fans.

“Everyone must look into their own home and have respect for the work of others. It is not correct to talk about the future of other players,” said Calenda.

“This creates problems and misunderstandings as well as unfortunate predictions.

“The alleged words of agent Mamuka Jugeli are bad, superficial and unacceptable. These words create problems for my player Victor Osimhen with Napoli fans without any reason or real of the reality.

“We have just signed a contract renewal and Victor’s only wish, in addition to the Africa Cup of Nations, is to help Napoli. Everything else is rubbish.”

Amidst the controversy, Osimhen remains focused on AFCON duties with Nigeria’s team, set to debut on January 14, 2024. The Napoli striker’s contract extension reportedly includes a €130m release clause.
