Frank Onyeka Absent in Brentford’s Calamitous Loss to Wolves

Super Eagles midfielder, Frank Onyeka was not even named in the matchday squad of Brentford’s calamitous 1-4 home loss to Wolves at the G-tech community stadium.

Onyeka missed out on the game due to a suspension alongside Ben Mee, as well as Kristoffer Ajer, Rico Henry, Aaron Hickey, Joshua Da Silva, Kevin Schade, Bryan Mbeumo and Mathias Jensen all out due to varying injuries.

In a game marred by multiple defensive errors leading to goals, Mario Lemina opened the flood gates in the thirteenth minute, just seconds later, Hee-Chan Hwang added a second.

In a rush, barely two minutes later, Yoane Wissa halved the deficit. That would not be end of the first half though, Hee-Chan Hwang increased the visitor’s lead in a first half blessed and peppered with goals.

Jean-Ricner Bellegarde will compound the host’s woes as he profited from another act of charity as he scored the fourth and only goal of the second half.

The loss leaves Brentford 14th on the log with Bournemouth ahead of them and Crystal Palace below them.
