AC Milan Defends Chukwueze amidst Maldini’s Criticism

In the face of recent criticism from former Milan Director Paolo Maldini, AC Milan has expressed satisfaction with the contribution of Samuel Chukwueze since his arrival from Villarreal.
Maldini, had previously labeled the forward as a “waste” and questioned the €30 million investment in the Nigerian forward.
The winger, seemingly fueled by the critique, delivered a late winning goal just 68 seconds after coming on as a substitute during AC Milan’s 2-1 comeback victory against Newcastle at St James Park last Wednesday.
AC Milan’s Technical Director, Geoffrey Moncada, has now voiced the club’s contentment with Chukwueze’s recent performances, particularly highlighting his commendable work rate and skill set in the last two UEFA Champions League games.
The Rossoneri seem to have embraced the winger’s positive response to adversity, affirming their confidence in his contribution to the team.
“Chukwueze? I’m happy for him because he’s a good guy who works a lot and I’m sure that the future for him will be good for Milan,” Moncada said.
Meanwhile, Chukwueze is in Milan squad for this weekend’s league game against Monza.
The winger has made 11 appearances in Serie A and 15 appearances across all competitions, and scoring twice in the UEFA Champions League.
