No Clubs interested in Nigerian Liverpool Striker

Former Nigeria U20 Striker, Taiwo Awoniyi is hoping to sort out his immediate future and looks to Liverpool Manager, Jurgen Klopp for his next destination.

Awoniyi spent last season on loan at Dutch Eredivisie side, NEC Nijmegen scored only two goals in 19 appearances for the the club.

The 19-year-old is not eligible for a UK work permit and reports suggest interests in Sweden for the Striker has cooled.

Before he joined Liverpool, Awoniyi snubbed a move to Kalmar FF in 2015.

Recently, the club was sounded out for a possible loan deal, however, sporting director Thomas Andersson Borstam has revealed the club is not interested.

”No, he will not play in Kalmar. You may ask Liverpool where he will be loaned to, but it will not be Kalmar FF,” Borstam told 24Kalmar.se.
