Midfielder Raphael Onyedika put on a solid performance, playing the full 90 minutes for Club Brugge as they secured a 2-0 victory over Lugano.
The game was Onyedika’s third appearance for the Belgian giants in this Europa Conference League season.
Club Brugge took the lead in the 62nd minute, with Igor Thiago scoring the opening goal,much to the delight of the home supporters.
Despite a chance to extend their lead with a penalty kick in the 85th minute, Ferran Jutglà of Club Brugge saw his effort saved by Lugano’s goalkeeper, Amir Saipi.
