AC Milan manager, Stefano Pioli says his side is missing the services of Nigerian international Samuel Chukwueze.
Chukwueze is currently down with injury since returning from October’s international break with Nigeria.
In his absence, Milan fell to a shocking home defeat to Udinese on Saturday night.
The Rosseneri were beaten 1-0 at home by the struggling Zebras, with Roberto Pereyra scoring the winner in the 62nd minute.
The defeat extended Milan’s winless run to four matches across all competitions.
Pioli admitted that the absence of Chukwueze and fellow summer signing Christian Pulisic weakened his team.
“I am sure that I have important characteristics at my disposal. I made a different choice today because Pulisic and Chukwueze were unavailable, otherwise we know how we want to attack and approach the games.
“We must do much better, it is only fair that the fans jeer and especially that they jeer me, because this was not the performance we wanted.” He said.
Chukwueze will miss Nigeria’s World Cup qualifiers against Lesotho and Zimbabwe later this month.
