Coach Justin Madugu says the Super Falcons are in good spirit ahead of their second-leg, Paris 2024 Olympic Games Women’s Football event qualifier against Ethiopia.

The Super Falcons will host the Lucy at the MKO Abiola National Stadium, with the first leg ending in a 1-1 draw, and the former African Champions will require a win to advance to the next round.

Madugu is confident that the team can overcome their previous challenges.

“We were not too happy about the result of that first game. It’s unfortunate not to win the first leg, but, we are equally realistic with ourselves.

“We had some challenges in that game, and did our best to quickly surmount them.”

With the winner between Cameroon-Uganda awaiting the Africans giants in the final round, Coach Madugu who is standing in for Randy Waldrum said:

“The girls have overcome those challenges and are really determined to make sure they are part of the Olympics next year.”
