Dessers hungry for more after ending goal drought

Nigerian striker, Cyriel Dessers is motivated to make a positive impact in his Rangers career.

Dessers has endured a tough start to life in the Scottish Championship and was dropped from the XI.

The forward however was reinstated to the starting 11 by new boss Philippe Clement for the home game against Hibernian, on Saturday.

Dessers rewarded his new manager with an impressive performance, and scored in the 4-0 win at Ibrox.

The striker was happy with his impact, and vowed to keep improving.

“We showed some bits of this today, but there’s still a lot of growth left for us. I’m sure we’ll do that, and we’ll then be a team that is difficult to stop,” Dessers told Rangers TV.

“It’s a part of the game that I like to do. I’m still growing to my best level, but this was a step towards it. I hope with the new energy inside the dressing room, with the new staff and the fans, that we can push on.”

The 28-year-old has two league goals for the Gers this season.
