Akwa United head coach, Fatai Osho, has expressed his satisfaction with the progress his team is making in understanding his playing philosophy and tactics as they prepare for the upcoming 2023-24 Nigeria Premier Football League season.

In their recent match against Enugu Rangers, Akwa United secured a narrow 1-0 victory, with Oguntayo Seyi scoring the decisive goal in the second half.

This win came just five days after their previous victory against Heartland FC of Owerri, also ending in a 1-0 scoreline.

Coach Fatai Osho commended his players for their impressive performances in both matches, highlighting their teamwork and purposeful play.

He expressed his excitement at the gradual development of the team’s understanding and adaptability on the pitch.

The coach further emphasized the team’s progress tactically and psychologically in recent weeks, particularly in terms of their defensive solidity, midfield compactness, and dangerous attacking prowess.

He acknowledged the importance of maintaining their hard work and preparation to ensure they are fully ready for the new season.

“We have kept two clean sheets against two good teams and in my assessment of the two games, we are solid defensively, in the middle we are compact, going forward we are dangerous and that is commendable. ”

“We have to keep working hard to ensure we are fully ready before the start of the new season’’.
