Striker, Victor Boniface has received praises from Koln coach Steffen Baumgart for his impressive start in Bundesliga.

Baumgart told Sport Bild that he would have signed Boniface over Harry Kane if he were in charge at Bayern Munich.

The World Cup winner with German also believes the former Union SG’s forward and Kane will create a rivalry in the Bundesliga.

“We’ll see plenty of goals from him (Boniface) this term – I can even see him competing with Kane for the top scorer crown,” Baumgart said.

The Bayer Leverkusen man took the German league by storm, contributing six goals (4g, 2a) in just four league games.

The Nigerian forward has also being shortlisted for coveted Rookie of the Month award in the Bundesliga.
