The Forward signed for the Dutch giants from English Championship side Middlesbrough during last month’s transfer window. Ajax reportedly paid a fee of €12.3m, to bring former Arsenal and PAOk Salonika forward to the Johan Cruyff Arena. He sat out of three games, but finally made his bow for the former Champions in Sunday’s Eredivisie clash at Fortuna Sittard. Chuba Akpom started the game from the bench and was introduced in the 62nd minute. The 27-year-old came on for Dutch striker, Brian Brobbey but did not make a big announcement of his arrival. Meanwhile, Ajax are unbeaten in three games, however they have just one win.
