Crystal Palace’s chances of signing Kelechi Iheanacho is now may prove difficult following the £18m price tag placed on the striker by Leicester City.

Palace are interested in the Nigerian international who is also eager to leave Leicester City this summer. But the Premier League side is hesitant to pay the full amount, according to reports.

Sky Germany’s Florian Plettenberg reveals that Palace are only willing to offer between £10-15m along with additional payments based on performance.

Iheanacho is considered an important player in Leicester’s quest to make an immediate return to the Premier League.

However since his contract expires next summer, Leicester are aware that a cut-price deal may be necessary in the current transfer window to avoid losing him on a free.

The 26 year-old has been immense since arriving at King Power Stadium from Manchester City in 2017, scoring 56 goals in 210 matches for the club.

So far this season, the Forward has made three appearances for Leicester City in the Championship but has yet to find the back of the net.
