Ogunmodede optimistic of a Remo Stars Victory

Remo Stars, on Sunday, host the Ghanaian champions Medeama SC in Ikenne for CAF Champions League preliminary second leg tie.

In the first leg, Remo Stars lost 1-0 at the Cape Coast Stadium in Ghana, courtesy of a Jonathan Sowah’s 24th minute goal.

A 2-0 win for coach Daniel Ogunmodede’s side will ensure that they advance to the next round of Africa’s top club football competition.

Speaking ahead of the game, Ogunbodede noted that the players will get the required result come Sunday.

“We are working hard as you can see. We are not only look for the three points, but qualification for the next round. The boys are aware of what’s stake and I’m sure they’ll give their best.”

On his possible starting XI for the game, Ogunbodede said, “I can’t give anything out now as three key players are down with knocks picked from the first game.”

Progression for Remo Stars mean they would face Horoya AC of Guinea in the next round of qualifiers.
