Tobi Amusan vows to bounce back after disappointing title defense

Tobi Amusan is taking her loss in stride and is determined to come back stronger next year.

The 26-year-old lost her 100m women’s hurdle title after placing 6th in Budapest on Thursday.

Amusan’s journey to the final was challenging as she was only cleared to compete few days to the championship.

Amusan however is determined to bounce back stronger next year.

“It has been God, my team and my family,” the 2022 gold winner told reporters.

“Yeah, it’s a tough one; nobody likes to lose but considering what I have gone through in the past couple of months, I’m so grateful that I came out,” she enthused.

Danielle Williams won the gold while Olympics Champions Jasmine Camacho-Quinn and Kendra Harrison took silver and bronze respectively.

Williams, the 30-year-old, ran season best 12.43s to beat Camacho-Quinn (12.44sec) with Kendra Harrison of the United States taking bronze (12.46).
