Cyriel Dessers made a significant contribution to Rangers’ 2-2 home draw against PSV in the first leg playoff of the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday.
Dessers assisted a goal in this thrilling encounter at the Ibrox, while his teammate Leon Balogun, unfortunately, did not see any action as he remained as an unused substitute.
The game reached an impasse at 1-1 when Dessers skillfully set up his teammate, Rabbi Matondo, to put Rangers ahead 2-1 in the 76th minute. However, with only 10 minutes remaining on the clock, Luuk De Jong scored a crucial goal for PSV, resulting in the match ending in a 2-2 draw.
The return leg is scheduled to take place in the Netherlands on August 30th.
Rangers has to win to qualify for the Group phase of the lucrative competition.
