Dessers shines as Rangers advance to Scottish Cup Quarter-final

Cyriel Dessers played a crucial role as Rangers sealed a 2-1 victory against Greenock Morton, Saturday, in the Scottish Cup.

Dessers scored goal, gave away a penalty then assisted another goal as his team advanced to the quarter-finals of the competition.

After a goalless first half, Morton took the lead through a penalty given away by the Nigerian, and converted by Captain Grant Gillespie.

He however redeemed himself by scoring a goal, also from the penalty spot after Leon Balogun was fouled.

The 27-year-old later assisted striker partner Danilo for the winning goal.

Dessers now has two goals and an assist in four games for the Gers since signing for the team.
