Iheanacho, Ndidi Begin Life in the Championship

Wilfred Ndidi and Kelechi Iheanacho were in action for Leicester City in the English Championship clash against Coventry City this Sunday.

Following last season’s relegation from the Premier League, the Foxes began life in the championship with a remarkable 2-1 comeback victory at King Power Stadium, with the Nigerian duo featuring prominently.

Ndidi started the game while Iheanacho was on the bench as the gaffer kept faith with Jamie Vardy.

Coventry City drew first blood in the first half and Foxes’ Manager, Enzo Maresca quickly swung into action by replacing Ndidi with Dennis Praet.

Iheanacho also came in for Jamie Vardy later on, and the substitution worked magic as Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall struck twice within the last 10 minutes to give Leicester City a 2-1 win.
