Keira Walsh has returned to team training after her knee injury and that it’s not as serious as initially feared.
The midfielder on Saturday trained with the Lionesses and could be selected for the round of 16 tie against Nigeria.
Walsh suffered the knock in England’s Group D win over Denmark, with fears it could be a serious knee injury.
The 26-year-old who plays her club football with Barcelona missed the last Group game against China.
However a tweet from the official England account confirmed that “all 23 players are out for training today at Central Coast Stadium”- including Walsh.
England face Nigeria in the last 16 on Monday in Brisbane, and Walsh’s presence will surely boost Sarina Wiegman’s World Cup hopes.
