NFF President Alhaji Ibrahim Gusau has disclosed that decisions regarding Super Falcons coach Randy Waldrum contract will be made after the World Cup.
There was a conflict between NFF and coach Randy Waldrum regarding his salary, with the former Trinidad and Tobago boss accusing the Federation of sabotaging the preparations of his team for the ongoing FIFA Women’s World Cup.
The situation escalated and led to harsh responses from the Federation’s Media Director Demola Olajire, who labelled the American as “incompetent loudmouth”.
Despite the recent bad blood between both parties, Waldrum has led the Super Falcons in to the round of 16 at the ongoing FIFA Women’s World Cup without losing a game.
Asked to speak on the coach’s situation, Gasau said the NFF will make decisions after the World Cup.
“The Coach has a contract, so after the World Cup we’ll look at theterms on his contract – on what decision to take next.” He told BrilaFM.
NFF hired Randy Waldrum in 2021 and the gaffer’s contract will come to an end after the World Cup.
