Nigeria forward, Franklin Sasere has signed for Hungarian giants Ujpest FC after leaving Liechtenstein’s side FC Vaduz.
Sasere joined his new teammates as the deal was concluded over the weekend.
The Akure-born striker becomes the third Nigerian on the club’s payroll after Vincent Onovo and Peter Ambrose.
A former Sunshine Stars forward, Sasere had a good campaign with FC Vaduz last season, netting 10 goals and provided six assists in 48 games across all competitions.
FC Vaduz Sports Director, Franz Burgmeier thanked the player for his commitment during his time at the club.
“We would like to thank Franklin for the services he has rendered and his commitment to FC Vaduz and wish him all the best, both in sport and in his private life, and above all good health,” Burgmeier was quoted by the club’s official website.
The 25-year-old, not too long ago, renewed his contract with Vaduz but asked to leave the club for family reasons.
