Manchester United are expected to continue their spending spree as the Red Devils look forward to wrap up deals for Ivan Perisic and Eric Dier in the coming weeks.
Both players have been long-term targets of Man United manager, Jose Mourinho.
This transfer window, Manchester United have gone on to sign Victor Lindelof and Romelu Lukaku, but are still hoping to further strengthening in certain areas so as to challenge for the title next season.
Jose Mourinho has been linked with a series of defensive midfielders as replacement for 36-year-old Michael Carrick who was recently confirmed as the captain for the upcoming season.
Meanwhile, Inter Milan midfielder Ivan Perisic recently posted a picture with the caption “destination unknown” on Instagram appearing to instigate further speculations about a possible move away from the San Siro.
The Instagram message was just as uncertain as the 28-year-old’s future amidst doubts he will feature for the Nerazzurri in the 2017/18 season.
In the meantime, Manchester United begin their American tour with a match against Los Angeles Galaxy on July 16.
Mourinho’s men will also take on city rivals Manchester City, Spanish giants Real Madrid and Barcelona in a busy pre-season calendar before they head back to England for the start of the season.
