D’Tigers Eliminated from AfroCan

D’Tigers’ run at the ongoing FIBA AfroCan has come to an end following the defeat to DR Congo.

On Thursday, D’Tigers lost 74-72 to the 2019 winners in a quarter-final match played at Pavihac Multiusos de Luanda.

 

The Nigerians started poorly but came back better in the second half and got a chance to win but blew it.​

Pitchou Manga was in superb form for the Congolese as he caused Nigeria problems all through.

Despite the defeat, D’Tigers leaves the competition with their head high after recording two wins from four matches.

The team didn’t qualify for the championship initially but were able to travel to Angola after being awarded a wildcard.
