FIFA has suspended Al Nassr from registering new players this summer over the controversy on Ahmed Musa’s transfer to the club five years ago.

On Tuesday, FIFA informed the Saudi Football Association of the decision after Al Nassr failed to comply with the ruling of its International Dispute Settlement Chamber on dues owed to Leicester City from the purchase of Musa.​

Leicester City sold the Nigerian to the Saudi Arabian club for €16.50m in 2018, plus add ons which includes, a sum of €500,000 if the Winger played more than 40 matches and an additional €250,000 should he help them finish second or win the title.

However, Ahmed Musa went on to play 58 matches with the Faris Najd, scoring 11 goals and provided 14 assists, which helped the team win the Saudi League and Super Cup in the 2018-19 season.

Nonetheless, Al Nassr cleared the transfer fee, but left the add ons unpaid, forcing Leicester City to drag the club to FIFA.​

The World Governing Body later ruled in the favor of Leicester City, banning the Club from registering new players.

Although the ban will be lifted should the Club make the payment within two weeks.
