Assistant coach of Nigeria’s Men’s basketball national team Mohammed Abdulrahman has revealed that players and coaches of the D’Tigers were in jubilant mode after been handed a wild card for the 2023 edition of the Africa basketball Championship.
The competition holds later this month in Angola following the team’s outing at the just concluded qualifers in Cote d’ivore where the team won 1 and lost 2 games albeit one of the losses was a narrow 3pts loss to Guinea.
Abdulrahman speaking in a chat with www.brila.net says it’s good that the team have a chance to eventually make it to the tournament in Angola after having missed out on the automatic qualification by virtue of the results posted in the qualifers.
