The NFF is set to honour the Super Falcons with a special farewell dinner before they depart for the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
The event is scheduled for Saturday July 1, at the Transcorp Hilton, Abuja, with all the players, NFF executive members, and other stakeholders expected to be present.
Among the issues to be addressed is financial challenges that have hindered the team’s preparations recently.
The recalled, the June 20 Abuja camp was cancelled by the Nigeria Football Federation officials due to financial difficulty.
The team will now travel straight to Australia July 2, with barely 10 days to prepare before their opener against Canada.
The Falcons will then face Australia in the second game, before wrapping up Group phase with clash against Republic of Ireland.
