Super Falcons Captain Onome Ebi has hinted at going into coaching after her retirement from professional football.
The defender stated this during a BrilaFM’s big Sports breakfast show interview with Anthony Bekederemo.
Onome Ebi is arguably one of the most decorated players in the history of women’s football in Africa.
The 40-year-old has been a member of Super Falcons squad from 2003 and has appeared in five different FIFA Women’s World Cup, taking part in the 2003, 2007, 2011 and 2015, 2019 editions.
She also played in the 2008 Beijing Olympics and 2008, 2010, 2012, 2014, 2016 and 2018 editions of the African Women’s Championship, winning the tournament four times 2010, 2014 2016 and 2018.
The player is obviously slowing down as she moves towards the end of her glittering career.
Asked about her plan after retirement, Ebi said:
“I’m not do anything apart fromd sports. I have people managing other business for me.
“So I’ll remain in the game, maybe sport management or a coach. Because I feel I can also be a coach.” She concluded.
