Onome Ebi Reveals Secret off Her Longevity

Super Falcons football star Onome Ebi dolled out tips on how she has managed to stay on top after almost 2 decades in the round leather game.

Ebi is one of the oldest active footballers in Women’s world at the moment, and will be making her 6th appearance at the FIFA Women’s World Cup later this year.

In chat with Brila.net, Ebi, who recently clocked 40, shared secret on how she managed to stay in shape.

“I feel better, especially when you are 40 and still active in football. It’s not something that’s common.

“It’s rare, I think there just about three or four players in the world still playing at 40. So it’s rare, but I’m
grateful.”

Ebi also outlined her ‘genius’ when it comes to maintaining elite physical condition.

“I don’t joke with my training. I trained for three hours per day and I sleep a lot. I’m not the outgoing type, so I stay indoor to record my strength.

“While I was eating in Nigeria, I eat anything that comes my way, but everything changed when I left for Turkey.

“For now my best meal is spaghetti, because I makes me feel lighter,” She said.
