Adebayo Adeleye is satisfied with his debut for the Super Eagles despite conceding two goals.
Adeleye was between the sticks as the Super Eagles edged Leone Stars of Sierra Leone 2-3 in Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
He was beaten by Mustapha Bundu and Augusto Kargbo as the host fought from two goals down to draw 2-2, before Kelechi Iheanacho restored the lead for Nigeria in the final minute of added time.
In his reaction, Adeleye tweeted:
“Dream debut done and dusted.
Thank you to everyone for believing in me and for the support.
With Francis Uzoho and Maduka Okoye struggling for form, Adeleye is a strong candidate to start in goal against Sao Tome and Principe.
