Enyimba striker Chukwuemeka Obioma has earned half of a million Naira for winning the golden boot for the 2022-23 Nigeria Premier League.

The striker enjoyed a good campaign with the Aba Elephants, scoring regularly for the team.

Obioma, however, is one of the surprise omissions from the super Eagles squad to face Sierra Leone as four NPFL stars were selected by coach Jose Peseiro.

The forward scored 16 goals to become the latest Enyimba player to win the most prestigious individual award in the Nigerian topflight league.

The young forward was instrumental in Enyimba’s title victory, scoring 14 goals in the regular and another two in the championship playoff.

For winning the golden boot, Obioma will get five hundred thousand Naira as a reward.
