Victor Osimhen misses out on Serie A MVP award

Nigerian international Victor Osimhen has been named Serie A striker of the year, but surprisingly missed out of the Most Valuable Player award.

The Serie A organizers on Friday made the announcement via their Twitter handle.

 

 

Osimhen beat AC Milan forward Rafael Leao and Inter Milan’s Lautaro Martinez to the individual accolade.​

The Forward scored 25 goals and provided 5 assists as Napoli won the 2022-2022 Italian Serie A title.

Victor Osimhen, 24, however misses out of best player of the season award to Kvicha Kvaratskhelia.

The Georgian was awarded the top gong after netting eleven goals and recording ten assists, most by any player in the league last season.
