Nigeria will have an opportunity to get their 2023 U17 Africa Cup of Nations campaign back on track when they confront South Africa in their last Group B game later today.
The Nduka Ugbade-tutored side and their opponents are second and third respectively in the Group; with three points from two matches, but only the goal difference is separates them.
Nigeria started the campaign with a slim 1-0 win over Zambia, before losing by same scoreline to Morocco in the second game, while South Africa bounced back from 2-1 opening defeat to the North Africans with a 3-2 victory against Zambia.
As it stands, Morocco with six points already booked their quarter final spot, leaving both Nigeria Eaglets and
South Africa to for the next automatic slot.
