Former Super Eagles left back, Ifeanyi Udeze has advised young African footballers, who are making their switch to European countries, to be careful in their dealings with the girls in those countries.

On Brila FM’s daily Morning show, “No Holds Barred”, Udeze narrated how he barely avoided a major scandal while playing for Greek Super League side PAOK Thessaloniki.

Narrating his ordeal, the former PAOK captain said he hosted teammates in his home, whilst his family were away in the United States of America.

“It was after a big match that we had won, and so to celebrate the win, I invited my teammates to his house. Deep into the party, a lady who happened to be the daughter of a friend and one of the biggest supporters of the team, made a move on me.

“I politely declined, but she got frustrated, cried and left. Next day her father, who was also the local Police chief, called me to say the Lady in question, his daughter, claimed I had raped her.”

The former West Bromwich Albion defender narrated that the lady’s father came to his home immediately to ask him questions.

“I was shocked, but also calm because I knew I could provide evidence of everything that transpired. So I showed the police Chief recordings from the CCTV cameras in my house, by the time we were done watching, he apologized to me.”

“Copies of the recording were made and that was how I cleared my name,” Udeze stated.
