Victor Osimhen has now equalled the most goals for a Nigerian player in a single UEFA Champions League season, following his strike for Napoli against AC Milan on Wednesday.

Osimhen scored a late header in the Champions League quarter-final, second leg match at the Diego Maradona Stadium to take his tally in Europe to five from six games.

The goal puts him level with former Inter Milan striker Obafemi Martins for most goals by Nigerian in a single season.

Yakubu Aiyegbeni and Victor Ikpeba are next on the chart with four goals each, while Tijani Babangida occupied the fifth position with three goals.

Osimhen is enjoying his most productive season in Europe this term, netting 26 goals across all competitions for the Serie A Champion-elect.
