Villarreal Legend Marcos Senna warns Chukwueze and Co against complacency against Anderlecht

Villarreal icon Marcos Senna insists Samuel Chukwueze and his teammates must be wary of Anderlecht when the teams clash for the return leg of UEFA Europa Conference League on Thursday.

The first leg ended 1-1, with Samuel Chukwueze and Manu Trigueros combining to give Villarreal the lead, before the home side levelled in the second half through Anders Dreyer.

Despite the draw Villarreal are the favorites to go through over the two legs, but Senna, who made over 300 appearances for the Yellow Submarines believes the tie is far from over.

“Given its rich history, I knew that Anderlecht would be there for big matches. We will have to be wary of them in the return match. If we take the game lightly, we will be eliminated.”

“Villarreal must be in two minds, because the competition is a lot more important.

“Each season, the first goal is to stay in the Primera Division to evolve. Then we can aim for a European place. But don’t expect to play with a B-team this Thursday. We want qualification,” The former Spanish international said.
