Enyimba sign former Rivers United forward Chijioke Akuneto

Enyimba has completed the signing of striker Chijioke Akuneto ahead of the second half of the 2022-2023 campaign.

The striker joined Enyimba FC for the remainder of the season a free agent after being unattached for sometimes.

Akuneto last played for Rivers United and was instrumental in their league triumph last season.

The forward won the league top scorer award last season following his scored 19 league goal haul for Rivers United.

Akuneto will be aiming to rediscover his form and force his way into Coach Finidi George’s starting line up.

The second half of season will get underway after the Nigerian General election.
