Flying Eagles duo Augustine Njoku and Solomon Agbalaka have been included in the CAF U20 Africa Cup of Nations team of the tournament.
Njoku and Agbalaka both caught the attention of the The CAF Technical Study Group (TSG) with their fine performances for the Flying Eagles.
Agbalaka won two man-of-the-match award and scored Nigeria’s winner against Egypt, while Njoku also contributed immensely to the team’s fine defensive display.
Nigeria finished the tournament as the third best team, beating Tunisia 4-0 in the bronze medal match, and the team also won the 2023 Fair Play award.
According to CAF, the Nigerian team were awarded the prize for professionalism, dedication, passion and discipline during the 23rd edition of the tournament in Egypt.
