Cyriel Dessers scored a brace for Cremonese in their Serie A clash against Sassuolo on Monday.
The Grigiorossi were looking for their second consecutive win following last week’s victory against José Mourinho’s AS Roma, and David Okereke kept his place in the line up, while Dessers started from the bench.
With Sassuolo leading 2-0, the Super Eagles striker was introduced in second half for Ghanaian forward Ofena Gyan.
The 27 year-old however justified his introduction as he scored in the 62nd and 84th minutes to erase Sassuolo’s two-goal lead at the Mapei Stadium.
The Nigerian now has five goals and one assist in 19 appearances for Cremonese this season.
Cremonese however wasted the two-goal comeback as Nedim Bajrami scored a late goal to hand Sassuolo a 3-2 win.
