Leicester City boss, Rodgers defends Iheanacho’s Misses in Southampton defeat

Leicester City manager Brendan Rodgers singled out Kelechi Iheanacho for praises, despite the Forward missing a couple of chances in the defeat against Southampton.
Iheanacho has been the shining light in Leicester City’s poor run of form in the second half of the campaign.
Again he was on target in the shocking FA Cup defeat to Blackburn Rovers at the King Power Stadium on Wednesday.
The Foxes were handed another home defeat by Southampton on Saturday, with Iheanacho missing two glorious opportunities to score.
“He’s been brilliant for us of late. He’s been the one who looks like the threat. He kept fighting and kept working. He had two really good headers but couldn’t make the finish.
“The opportunity on the edge of the box, we’ve seen him score those recently, where he guides it into the corner. At least he was there to miss it,” he said, as quoted by Leicester Mercury.
Leicester are now 15th, three points above the relegation zone.
