Empoli gaffer Paolo Zanetti not satisfied with Ebuehi, others after Napoli defeat

Coach Paolo Zanetti is not happy with the performance of Tyronne Ebuehi and his teammates against Napoli in the Serie A on Saturday.
Empoli lost 2-0 to Napoli, no thanks to an Ardian Ismajli own goal and Victor Osimhen’s rebound goal from Khvicha Kvaratskhelia’s effort.
Ebuehi played for 68 minutes at the Stadio Castellani, made one successful tackle and completed 8 passes before he was withdrawn by the gaffer.
Zanetti however could not hide his frustration after the final whistle, stating that his wards made too many mistakes.
“Napoli are in some ways completely unplayable, because they do everything almost perfectly,” said Zanetti in his press conference.
“I am not completely satisfied with how we played, as we could’ve done better when in possession and perhaps were a bit too reverential towards them.
Empoli defeated Napoli at home last season, coming from two goals behind to win 3-2.
“We probably would’ve lost anyway, because this is a Napoli team that ridiculed Europa League winners Eintracht Frankfurt, so imagine what they could do with us. We fought with the usual grit, but this time it was not enough,” He concluded.
