Moses Simon was on parade for Nantes as they slipped to a 3-1 defeat against RC Lens in a Ligue 1 clash last Sunday.

Simon returned from his latest injury to feature in Thursday’s Europa League draw against Juventus, so his inclusion in the league game didn’t come as a surprise.

The Nigerian started the game and assisted Nantes’ only goal of the game scored by Florent Mollet.

He has now been involved in eight goals (five goals and three assists) in 20 league appearances this season.

Antoine Kombouaré however replaced the winger with twelve minutes to the full time.

Following the defeat, the French Cup holders slipped to 13th, with 28 points from 24 matches.
