Mexico Women National Team edged Nigeria in the four-nation invitational tournament, Revelation Cup, on Wednesday.

The hosts laboured all game to beat the Super Falcons, 1-0, in the city of Leon.

Kiana Palacios’ 85th-minute strike was the difference between both teams.

Speaking after the game, Ramos admits his girls met their match and believes the Nigerian ladies deserve respect.

“Nigeria is one of the best teams in Africa. If you see their players, they are in the best leagues in the world.

“We deserve the win, but you have to respect them,” the gaffer said after the game.”

Mexico’s next game in the competition is against Costa Rica on Saturday, while Nigeria will trade tackles with Colombia.
