Sunshine Stars bounced back from defeat to Lobi Stars with a win against Bayelsa United in Akure on Sunday.
Stephen Chukwudi’s 4th minute goal was all Sunshine Stars needed to pick maximum points and improve their position on the NPFL Group B standing in a week 6 encounter.
Efforts by the hosts to increase the tally wasn’t enough and the tie ended 1-0 in favor of Akure Gunners.
Edith Agoye post match interview commended the opponents for giving a good fight.
“Its an interesting game and I’m glad the opponents gave a good fight , it’s a process we are in and sure we shall overcome all,” the Coach said.
Sunshine Stars’ next match is against Niger Tornadoes this weekend.
