Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen scored a brace as Napoli defeated Spezia 3-0 away from home in the Serie A today.
The brace takes Osimhen’s tally to 16 Serie A goals this season, extending his lead on scorer chat by four goals in the process.
The Nigerian scored his first of the game in the 68th minute, and completed his brace five minutes later.
The 24 year-old has now scored seven goals in seven games for the Partenopei in 2023.
With the brace, he became only the 4th player in Napoli history to score at least 16 goals in the first 21 Serie A games of the season, joining Luis Vinicio (1955/56), Edinson Cavani (2012/13), and Gonzalo Higuaín (2015/16) in the record book.
The former Lille man ended the game with 21 touches, 5/8 ground duels won, 2/3 aerial duels won , 2 shots on target and 2 goals.
