Cyriel Dessers’ hope of returning to the Jupiler Pro League has suffered a huge blow.
Dessers has been linked with a possible transfer to Club Brugge this January following his slow start to life in Italian Serie A.
Het Nieuwsblad claimed that the entourage of the 28-year-old hold talks with the representatives of Club Brugge in December about a possible deal.
Dessers welcomed the idea of returning to Belgium, but the deal is in danger as FIFA rules doesn’t permit player to represent three different club in a season.
The Nigerian started current campaign with KRC Genk and scored three goals in three games, before joining for Cremonese where he also scored three goals in sixteen games.
The transfer can only happen in the summer and not this winter.
